of Atlanta’s improv scene

I’m a local Atlanta improviser. For a long time I noticed something about our community: being plugged in meant you had to be on Instagram and already know which accounts to follow. If you were new to the scene or just not on the app, you were left out. Missing shows, missing announcements, missing what was going on altogether.

For the general audience, that gap is even bigger. Atlanta has a real indie improv scene with a lot going on, but if you don’t know where to look, none of it reaches you. Shows that deserve a full house end up with empty seats simply because there was no easy way for people to find out they were happening.

The Platform ATL is here to change that. It gives Atlanta’s improv community a place on the web that anyone can find, not just the people who are already following the right accounts. More visibility for shows means more people in seats, and more people in seats means a healthier scene for everyone.

You can see what’s on at venues around the city, find out which groups have shows coming up, and even look up specific performers if there’s someone you want to catch on stage. No Instagram required.
